After Release 3, there’s AM!

AM or Application Maintenence is a term IRAS used to describe a team which supports the production server and application. The team consists of more than 100 IT staffs ranging from Technical Architecture to Business Analyst. The purpose of this team is to make sure the real online system, internally and externally, run smoothly without any problem.

After the rolling out of the phase 3 of IRIN project, I am currently placed under AM team. Life in AM team is different as a developer and fixer during the phase 3 project. I have to get up earlier and report to office not more than 9 PM. Although there aren’t much task in hand, yet I have to do overtime work almost daily. In addition, I have to pick up a new skill on building and fixing an Actuate Report which I have no much support from teammate as those who know the software have either roll off or resign.

Whatever team i’m in, which development cycle i’m in, I’d prefer to work in a different evironment.
