Free Internet Finally
Since arrived to Canberra, I was paying almost 40 Australian Dollar for my internet usage (0.07$ per Mb usage). Yep, you’ve heard me saying, it does cost money to use Internet here even in the hostel. Unlike in NTU and NUS, where Internet is *free* for local area network.
It is only lately, i’ve learnt that some of my study mates were able to wirelessly surf the web free from their room (same floor as mine). I thought my fujitsu C2010 is pretty old (almost 5 years now) with broken keyboards and slow as snail, so i decided to get a new laptop.
This morning, I went to the Canberra Civic to check out what’s available. Comparing price between the JB-HIFI and Dick Smith, I finally choose to buy at Dick Smith. The laptop is HP Pavilion dv6201TU which is running on Window Vista Home Premium. It costs me 1475.95 australian Dollars.

It’s a core 2 dua 1.7Gh with 1Gb of ram.
it’s not the most fantastic laptop. The worst thing is that shop here does not have many variaties. In the shop that i got this laptop basically have just toshiba,hp and compaque. No fujitsu or sony available, sic.
